OMH Wins Summary Judgment and Attorneys’ Fee Award in Denver District Court

OMH successfully defended its client, an architect, from claims alleging that egress stairs and illumination for a Denver restaurant had been improperly designed. The Plaintiff, who had slipped and fallen on the exterior stair case of the restaurant, sued multiple parties for her claimed injuries. On motion, OMH proved that its client had not designed the staircase on which the Plaintiff had fallen, and that Plaintiff’s claims were therefore frivolous. OMH and its client there obtained a complete dismissal of all claims and were awarded their attorneys’ fees and costs.
