Ike Eckert is an experienced commercial litigator and trial attorney. His practice is primarily focused in the areas of general liability defense and commercial litigation, with an emphasis on the defense of construction and design professionals in complex construction defect litigation. He also practices personal injury defense, including motor vehicle accidents and premises liability claims.
Ike provides aggressive and uncompromising representation for clients in the courtroom. He is able to quickly evaluate complex legal situations and provide clients with pragmatic and economical solutions, with the underlying goal of minimizing a client’s legal costs and time in the litigation process.
Ike received his B.S. from the University of Nebraska in 2002. Upon graduation, he gained valuable perspective on the law while working as a legislative aide in the Nebraska State Legislature. His firsthand involvement with the legislative process, including participating in the crafting of legislation, allows Ike to appreciate the nuances present in the laws, ordinances and codes, and advise clients accordingly.
Ike earned his J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law in 2007. While attending law school, he worked at for one of Minnesota’s top civil litigation firms where he experienced all facets of civil litigation.
